Newcomers Orientation: Last Sunday of the month, starting at 6:30 p.m. in the lower level of the Vihara.
Our annual celebration of the Buddha is held the first Sunday of May each year.
Our annual ceremony of remembrance is held the first Sunday of November each year.
Family and Friends Practice Evening: Quarterly evenings incorporating activities to help children learn the basics of the mindfulness practice are intended to appeal to everyone, not just adults and not just children, with the hope of building sangha across all ages. Second Sunday of March, June, September, and December, 7 p.m., following regular silent sitting and walking meditation.

Upcoming WMC Retreats: Annual Days of Mindfulness are typically held in the spring at Blueberry Gardens, 237 Ashton Road, Ashton, Md. Gather together with friends in the Washington Mindfulness Community, in the tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh, for a day of silence, meditation, rest, joy, mindful exercise, walking meditation, dharma sharing and mindful eating in a beautiful setting in the Octagon at Blueberry Gardens.
