Regular Sunday Evening schedule:

Sitting and walking meditation from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

At the Washington Buddhist Vihara

Newcomers Orientation: Last Sunday of the month, starting at 6:30 p.m. in the lower level of the Vihara.

Our annual celebration of the Buddha is held the first Sunday of May each year.

Our annual ceremony of remembrance is held the first Sunday of November each year.

The Mindful Parenting Group meets once a month, usually on the 1st Tuesday of the month in Northwest D.C. from 7:15 pm - 9:00 pm. Meeting includes 15-minute sit, plus mindful discussion of a variety of topics about the joys and challenges of parenting (infants to teens). "Compassion for ourselves, compassion for others: WMC Day of Mindfulness,: May 3, 2009; 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Blueberry Gardens, 237 Ashton Road, Ashton, Md.
Gather together with friends in the Washington Mindfulness Community, in the tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh, for a day of silence, meditation, rest, joy, mindful exercise, walking meditation, dharma sharing and mindful eating in a beautiful setting in the Octagon at Blueberry Gardens. Only 13 miles from DC, this 15 acre blueberry farm will help us enjoy the beauty and peace of a May Sunday.
