"Mixed" relationships; a panel discussion

On this special evening, we will hold a panel discussion on the important and often challenging topic: Maintaining your practice when your partner doesn’t practice. The issues we will explore are less to do with how to maintain your own practice in this context, and more to do with those little frictions that may occur in the relationship as a consequence of your practice, how much to bring your practice into the relationship, whether it has been helpful to share teachings and reflections with your partner versus this is a private space of mine and I’m not going to tell you anything about it because I already know it’s not something that interests you.

We’re not expecting answers, or solutions. But those of us who live in these “mixed” relationships sometimes feel a little isolated in thinking the issues through; your example, or your anecdote, may get me thinking in a slightly different way - just as dharma-sharing often does.

We will begin the evening with our usual 20 minute online sit; three panelists will then. share their experience for a few minutes each, and we will then break into groups for more focused reflection and sharing.

If you would like to join us, please write to us at wmcsangha@gmail.com, and we will send you the Zoom link for the meeting.
