Book talk with dharma teacher Valerie Brown

Dear friends,

The Opening Heart Mindfulness Community, Washington Mindfulness Community, Still Water Mindfulness Practice Center, and Many Faces Sangha are pleased to invite you to a very special book talk event celebrating the release of the new book Hope Leans Forward, Braving Your Way toward Simplicity, Awakening, and Peace, written by our dear friend Valerie Brown.

Thursday, November 17, 7:00 - 8:30pm EST, Online

In the talk we'll explore how to:

- choose bravely when conditions are uncertain and ambiguous
- reflect on what matters most with soul-amplifying questions

Valerie’s latest book (Broadleaf, 2022) was written during the urgency of BLM, profound personal loss, and life-altering transitions. The book is grounded in the teachings of Zen master Thich Nhat Hanh and the Plum Village tradition, as well as the Buddhist Seven Factors of Awakening and the wisdom of Quaker faith.

If you would like to join us, please write to us at wmcsangha@gmail.com and we will send you the sign-up information.
